LONDON, December 14 (IranMania) – Iran’s Majlis Research Center said the construction of Persian Gulf-Caspian Sea waterway is technically possible and economically viable according to domestic and international experts.

The center?s report, a copy of which was dispatched to IRNA, called for continuation of preliminary studies until feasibility studies are conducted on the Persian Gulf-Caspian Sea Waterway Project.

The center also noted that the project can be implemented through domestic means and potentials and by utilizing the experience of foreign countries.

The report also pointed out that during 1985-87, related preliminary studies were carried out by 130 experts and presented to the then president.
